Gender Unit

The Gender Unit is the invisible cord that ties all of our programs together. This Unit has been created to facilitate discussions and reflections about women's issues. This discussion is promoted through workshops, written material and the publication of newsletters and calendars that recover the participation of women as well as the discussions of how women are affected by gender inequalities in all of our programs, and society in general.

Dominican Women Writers’ Book Fair:

Each year, the Gender Unit organizes with other community agencies, the Dominican Women Writer's Book Fair, which brings together writers from different generations to share a common space for creativity and growth.  This event has become a community tradition, attracting community members on March of each year,  in commemoration of Women’s Month.
