The Economic Development Director has a multi-faceted role within the DWDC. The Program Director is responsible for developing and delivering relevant quality services focused on all aspects of small business development to DWDC’s clients to achieve optimal economic impact outcomes. The Director will be responsible for implementing bilingual entrepreneurial services to small business clients in Washington Heights. The Economic Development Program will target low-income communities [WH/I (NDA D12)] and provide strategies that address the needs of and support business development. Heavy focus is on existing and potential new businesses (retail, food, service, auto repair, light manufacturing) eager to stabilize and grow.
Created from the evidence-based Healthy Families America model, Healthy Families Washington Heights provides in-home support services to pregnant women and their families aimed at reducing toxic stress and other risk factors linked to increased incidence of child neglect, abuse, and trauma. The program also provides workshops and activities to compliment sessions and reinforce goals developed during in-home sessions. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Program Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Family Resource Support Specialists (FRSS).

The Fiscal Manager will oversee a small staff and join a small team to oversee a $ 5M budget with nearly 80 staff. A key aspect of this role is to act as liaison between an outsourced accounting team and internal staff. As a direct report to the Executive Director, this individual will work diligently in ensuring that all claim reimbursements are submitted as per prescribed deadlines and generally work with the outsourced team on ensuring that all aspects of the accounting function are performed and completed.
